Objective of PM Awas Yojana 2025
The main objective of starting this scheme by the government is to provide pucca houses to all the poor families of the country to live in, so that they too can live their life without any hassle. Types of PM Housing Scheme
This scheme has been divided into 2 parts by the government. The first part is for rural areas and the second part is for urban areas, people of both these areas are given different assistance amounts to build houses.
- Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana: In this scheme, a house of up to 25 square meters is built for the people of rural areas, which also includes a kitchen, and the people of rural areas are provided assistance of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand for this. Whereas the rural people of the hilly area are provided assistance of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand.
- Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme: Under this scheme, people of urban areas are given assistance of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand to build a concrete house, the money of the beneficiaries is transferred to their bank account through DBT in different installments.
